KEC International bags orders worth Rs. 2,105 crore

KEC International, an infrastructure Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) major and a part of RPG Enterprises, has announced securing orders worth Rs. 2,105 crore across various businesses.
The company’s transmission and distribution vertical has secured several orders totalling Rs. 1,584 crore in India, Abu Dhabi, Thailand and America.
This includes transmission line package contract won from PGCIL subsidiary under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route and orders for construction of transmission lines and AIS substations from Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited (BSPTCL), among other orders.
KEC’s railway business has secured an order of Rs. 261 crore for overhead electrification works and associated civil works in Western India. The civil business vertical has bagged Rs. 116 crore worth orders for the expansion of a paint shop from a leading automobile company and construction of clinker production plant from a cement company, while the cables business has bagged orders worth Rs. 144 crore.
“Our order intake in India continues to grow despite general headwinds in the country. We are particularly encouraged by the orders from PGCIL and BSPTCL. The order in Abu Dhabi along with the earlier orders in Dubai will enable us to further strengthen the Middle East portfolio in our order book,” Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, said.
The company recently reported a flat growth in consolidated net profit for the third quarter of FY19 at Rs. 112 crore as against Rs. 111 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal. KEC’s revenue has increased by around 10 per cent to Rs. 2,646 crore ( Rs. 2,404 crore).
