Please tell us about the glorious journey of Brego Land.
Brego Land emerged from my memories, particularly from my experiences during childhood. I used to spend quite some time at my father’s farm in Karjat, and it was a truly beautiful phase of my life. Being in nature, with animals and open space, and even spending time with family shaped my perspective. I still reminisce about my childhood and that sense of connection with land and nature is something I wanted to share with others. In 2020, I invested in a piece of land, even though I had to sell it later to generate funds. While working through that process, I began to grasp how complicated land dealings could be; dealing with the locals and making sense of the overall structure. That experience brought the complexity in this space to my attention. The land sector is immensely broad, but it is, at the same time, at a monstrous lack of organization and structure which could be a great opportunity to capitalize on and truly add value.
How did you get the idea of starting Brego land?
The idea for Brego Land comes from childhood- growing up on a farm, being close to animals, learning about trees, community, and the simplicity of nature. That kind of upbringing felt like a privilege, and I wanted to build a company that could make that kind of life more possible for others too.
When I sold a parcel of land during the pandemic to fund my wedding, I saw first-hand how messy, opaque, and unstructured land buying can be in India. That moment was a trigger. What if we could fix that? What if we could create a product that made buying land simple, trustworthy, and purposeful?
That’s how Brego Land was born- with the goal of making land ownership both emotionally meaningful and financially viable for more people.
Please tell us how has it been, working with different developers.
We had the pleasure of partnering with some of the country’s most reputable developers like Raheja, Isprava, Peninsula Land, and Code Ridge. It has been both prestigious and rewarding to have these leading players as our clients and to work very closely with them.
What are the future plans of Brego Land? Where do you see your company in the coming few years?
The second phase of our journey will focus on scaling the land business, shifting to plotted developments. Adding a construction vertical due to demand for home-building services will serve as phase three. Currently, about half of our customers buy land for investment purposes, and the other half buy it for end use. We will expand our focus on hospitality and farming, but our vision will still remain land-centric. At the same time, we plan to leverage technology to optimize operations, uncover new opportunities, and improve how customers interact with the company to truly productize the entire process. AI, more importantly, is a fundamental pillar for us—building a company on AI applications that people actually want and incorporating it as a core element of how we envision humans and businesses interact in the future.
Please tell us about your success mantra.
Our mantra for success is straightforward and is based on an unchanging foundation: focus on what will remain constant in an ever-changing world. Using this philosophy, we seek to build strong organizations and empower people, create resilient processes, integrate technology, and consistently deliver long-term value.
